How to download a copy of your data
Download a full copy of your data (.zip), recommended before changing device.
You can download a full copy of your register's data (items, sales, settings…) in a .zip file, from the app. This copy is recommended before changing device, reinstalling the app, or if you run into a problem.
It also lets support recover the latest version of your data, including anything not yet synced online. Pick the app or the back-office (on a computer) below.
Download the full copy from the app
The full copy (.zip) only exists in the app.
Open “Online backup”
Tap the menu icon ☰, then Settings, General tab, then the “Online backup” row.
- The “Up to date” status means all your sales are synced online. You do not need this status to make a copy.
Tap “Download my data”
Tunder prepares the file, then offers it for sharing so you can save or send it. Its name starts with “tunder_data_export” and ends with .zip.
- Please wait: while the file is being prepared, the “Back up” and “Download my data” buttons are inactive.
- The “Back up” button is not a copy on your device: it backs up your data online.
Another way: the app icon
Press and hold the Tunder icon for a few seconds (iOS or Android): a quick menu appears. Choose “Download my data”: the .zip file is generated the same way.
- Handy when the app no longer opens normally: the shortcut starts from the home screen.
Send the file to support if needed
Send an email to support@tunder.co with the .zip file attached. The team can analyze or restore your data.
- If you are unsure, contact support before deleting the app.
Export your catalog from the back-office
The back-office (admin.tunder.co, on a computer) does not download the full copy: it exports your catalog to an Excel workbook. It is not a copy of your sales.
Open Items
In the left menu, click Items, then the Items tab. If needed, set the filters: the export follows the list shown.
Click “Export”
The file downloads in a few seconds, in Excel format (.xlsx).
- A message tells you the export is being prepared, then that it is complete. If the export fails, Tunder asks you to try again in a moment.
- This is the file you can edit and import back with “Import” (Premium feature).
Before deleting or reinstalling the app
Deleting the app can permanently lose your data if it is not backed up online and you have no copy.
Download your data
Follow the steps in the “App” part above.
Wait until the preparation is finished
Check that the .zip file was created and saved before going further.
Only then, delete the app
Never delete it without downloading your data first. If you are unsure, write to support.
Warning. Do not uninstall the app before checking that your latest copy was created.
