How to reinstall the Tunder app (Android)
Reinstall the app on Android after a crash, a connection error or an account issue.
If the Tunder app has problems on your Android device (crash, connection error, account issue), you can reinstall it.
Before you uninstall it, back up your data: it is the only way to get it back afterwards.
Before you start: back up your data
Until your data is backed up online, it only exists on the device. In the app, open Settings, “My account”, tap “Back up” and wait for “Backup complete”. If the app no longer opens, don't uninstall it before contacting support. The details are in the article “How to restore your backup data”.
Reinstall the app
Check your Google Play payment method
If you can't sign in to your account or Google Play shows an error, first check your payment method: open Google Play settings, add or update a payment method, and make sure a valid card is saved.
Uninstall the Tunder app
On the device, find the Tunder icon, press and hold it, tap “Uninstall” and confirm.
Reinstall the latest version
Open Google Play, search for Tunder, then install the latest version of the app.
Sign back in to your account
Open Tunder and sign in with the same email address as your Tunder account. Your backed-up data reloads.
- Several devices: make sure each one is online and runs the latest version of the app.
