How to print one item per ticket
Print each item sold on its own ticket, so your customers can pick up their items at different counters.
With the “One item per ticket” option, the printer prints a small ticket for each item sold. A customer buys 2 sodas and 1 burger: three tickets come out, one for each soda and one for the burger.
Each ticket is worth one item. Your customer shows them where they pick up their order: the bar for drinks, the kitchen for the burger. It's handy for a concession stand, a festival, a food truck or any place with several pickup points.
Turn on “One item per ticket”
The setting is on the printer's page. The printer must already be connected to the app.
Open the printer's page
In the app: menu ☰, then Settings, Printers tab. Tap the printer you want to set up.
- No printer yet: add it first. See the article “How to connect a printer and cash drawer”.
Check “One item per ticket”
Under “Type of ticket”, check “One item per ticket”.
- Customer receipt: uncheck it if this printer should only print item tickets. Keep it checked to also print the customer's full receipt.
- Orders ticket: you can check it too. One printer can print several types of tickets.
- At least one type must stay checked.
Turn on “Print automatically”, then confirm
At the bottom of the page, turn on “Print automatically”: the tickets print by themselves at checkout. Then tap OK, at the top right.
Tip. From a computer, the same setting is in the back office (admin.tunder.co): Settings, Printers tab, then the printer's page, “Type of ticket” section. Only Wi-Fi and Ethernet printers appear there.
What comes out of the printer
Here are the tickets actually printed by the app for a sale of 2 sodas and 1 burger.
Three tickets for 3 items
Each soda gets its own ticket, and so does the burger. The quantity is always “1x”: 3 sodas give 3 tickets.
What each ticket shows
The order number
Large, at the top of the ticket. It is the same on every ticket of a sale.
The date and device
The date and time of the sale, and the number of the device that rang it up.
The seller
The name of the user who made the sale.
The comment
The sale's comment, if there is one.
The item
“1x” followed by the item name, with its size if the item has one (for example 12 oz).
Warning. These tickets show no price. If your customer needs proof of payment, also keep the customer receipt, on the same printer or another one.
