Set the date and time automatically
Turn on automatic date and time: essential for syncing tickets and reports.
For the Tunder app to work properly, especially for syncing tickets and reports, your device's date and time must be set automatically.
This is a setting of your iPhone, iPad or Android device, not of Tunder. The paths below are those of these devices.
On iPhone or iPad
Open Settings
Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
Go to General, then Date & Time
Tap General, then Date & Time.
Turn on “Set Automatically”
The switch must be on (green).
On Android
The path may vary depending on your device's model.
Open Settings
Open the Settings app on your device.
Go to System, then Date & time
Tap System, then Date & time. If your device keeps this setting elsewhere, look for the “Date & time” setting.
Turn on both automatic settings
Turn on “Automatic date & time” and “Automatic time zone”.
- Both count: all the date and time settings must be automatic.
Why it matters
An incorrect date or time can cause:
Sync errors
Your devices no longer agree with each other.
Tickets not saved properly
A ticket may not be saved correctly.
Gaps in your sales reports
Sales no longer land on the right date.
Operations refused by Tunder
Tunder refuses a sale dated earlier than the previous sale (“Unauthorized sale”), and the closing of a session dated earlier than its opening (“Unauthorized closing”). In both cases, it asks you to check your device's date and time settings.
The message still shows: what to do?
If the “The date and time must be set automatically” screen appears, turn on the automatic setting in your device's settings, then reconnect to the internet and tap “Refresh the page”. If the message comes back while your device is already on automatic, follow these steps in order.
Check all related settings
Make sure both “Automatic date & time” and “Automatic time zone” are on. All the time settings must be automatic.
Restart the app
Fully close the Tunder app (force close it), then reopen it and wait a few seconds.
Close it once more
If a fix was just deployed: fully close the app, reopen it, wait 5 seconds, then close it and reopen it one last time.
Reinstall the app
If the problem persists, uninstall and reinstall the Tunder app, then sign in again with the same account.
- Before uninstalling, check that your data is backed up: see the article “Restore your backup data”.
Warning. If the problem continues after these steps, contact support with a screenshot of your device's date and time settings.
